Membership in the club is by invitation only but events are open to all sailors who have an interest in racing or cruising their keelboats and catamarans. The Castaways Cup racing event has been held since 2005 and is open to all sailors who have an interest in Ocean Racing and cruising. It is designed as a social and racing event for cruising sailors who do not normally get involved in racing but have an interest in racing and meeting other sailors in South Florida. Our major event of the Season is the Castaways Cup described on the home page or by clicking on the up arrow above. The Annual Peanut Island Party was recorded in photos and song. Where our Flags Fly: Peter Niemeyer's brother Adelbert lives in Landshut, Germany, near Munich. Adelbert was climbing in the Otztal Mountains when he decided it was time for a sail. There not being a regatta handy, he decided to honor his brother and his favorite sailing club by flying the Castaways Burgee. Click on the photo for a larger shot - and hold on to your seat.
